A key stage in any filament recycler line: the Airpath cools freshly extruded or recycled filament so it holds its diameter.
The Filabot Airpath cools filament as it exits the extruder using forced convection. When working with higher-temperature polymers or dialing in tight dimensional tolerances on common materials like PLA and ABS, the Airpath ensures the filament is properly stabilized before it enters the Filabot Spooler. An integrated speed readout makes it easy to record and repeat fan settings across material runs.
Key Features
- Forced-Convection Filament Cooling: Stabilizes molten filament between the extruder nozzle and spooler for improved diameter consistency and ovality control.
- Variable Fan Speed with Digital Readout: Dial in repeatable airflow settings for everything from low-temp PLA to high-temp engineering polymers.
- Quiet Operation: Approximately 50 dB at maximum fan speed.
- Universal Power Input: Operates on 110/220 VAC, 50/60 Hz power.
