Maker & Recycling

Plastic recycling machines for makers, workshops and classrooms. Build a filament recycler with Filabot shredders, extruders, pelletizers and spoolers, or use Action BOX desktop shredders and injection molders. Turn plastic waste and failed 3D prints into new filament, pellets and useful parts.
Every line starts the same way: shred scraps into regrind with the Reclaimer, melt and push it through a plastic recycling extruder like the EX3, cool it with the Airpath, then wind it with the Spooler. Want everything in one workflow? The EX3 Full Recycling Setup lets you recycle plastic into 3D printer filament from failed print to finished spool. New to it? Filament Recycler FAQ
What is a filament recycler?
A filament recycler is a set of machines that turns plastic scrap and failed 3D prints into new 3D printer filament. A typical line shreds plastic into regrind, extrudes it into a strand, cools it and winds it onto a spool.
Which machine do I need first?
If you start from failed prints or plastic parts, begin with a shredder such as the Reclaimer. If you start from pellets, the EX3 Standard Extruder is the core of the line, and you can add the Airpath and Spooler as you grow.
What filament sizes can I make?
The Filabot Spooler accepts 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament. Final diameter is set by matching puller speed to extruder output.
Can I make molded parts instead of filament?
Yes. Pair the SHREDII 8 shredder with the INJEKTO 3 desktop injection molder to turn shredded plastic or pellets into new parts using 3D-printed or metal molds.
Are these good for schools and makerspaces?
Yes. The Filabot EX3 line is designed for educators, researchers and makerspaces, and a recycling line is a hands-on way to teach materials and manufacturing.
